Using Igloo® brand guides to execute insulated solutions for the promotional product industry. This selected lunch cooler, backpack cooler and Marine box cooler have been a top performers at Gemline. 

I also designed a graphic to help describe Igloo® RadBar™ technology to Gemline’s customers.

The Igloo Akita Cooler, although not a top performer has had great reviews on its features.

The American Tourister brand has a young attitude. Through research, it became apparent that product has to be meaningful for this particular user. They find value in feeling like they aren’t adding to a landfill. So, I was determined to incorporate a sustainable fabric and was able to work with our team in China to develop this recycled 600D polyester. In the end, the product was a success and became a hero item for Gemline. Scroll to see the featured clip!

Using Samsonite® branding guide to execute solutions for the promotional product industry. Collaborated with team member to develop the look-feel for the Samsonite Executive collection and developed a Duffel, designed a cohesive line of organizers, a backpack duffel, and toiletry bag. 

We realize the way people are working is changing, more and more people are becoming independent contractors, having a side hustle, or able to work from home.

This three part system makes taking your “office” outside the typical cube a piece of cake! The tote is the home base and designed to be a caddy for any necessary office supplies. The zippered pouch (which snaps around the tote's handle) is designed to act as a pencil cup and the commuter sleeve organizes your accessories, (fits in the tote’s interior slip pocket).

At the moment I am working on a backpack to add to the collection.

These pouches, barrel duffels and shoppers that I worked on make the perfect canvas for pattern and color.

For the bucket totes, both were a group effort for the construction and the graphic patterns.

A client came to Gemline to find a new solution for an iced coffee cup koozie. I spent hours researching coffee sleeves, what people use with iced coffee, problems with existing sleeves, and visited coffee shops to observe.

I delivered multiple concepts to the end client and we ended on this unique marketable solution.

This project is still in development and all branding has been removed.

Gemline is looking to leverage the success of their Heritage Supply brand by introducing additional product under it's name. 

The first bag requested was an updated duffel. For this, I developed a new fabric and aesthetic, which later inspired an entire collection. 

I saw my co-worker Cindi carrying an oxygen tank bag and found out it caused her neck and back pain. As a bag designer, I could not have a co-worker and friend in discomfort. So, that weekend I worked to design a more ergonomic backpack.

To my surprise, there are not many oxygen tank backpacks for consumers. However, I did take note of what features were necessary for this bag to function. I inspected Cindi's current sling bag and noted necessary features and areas for improvement— even weight distribution, clear window to read gauge, port for breathing tube, and add organization.

I was thinking, we have a bag at Gemline that may actually make a good base. I measured it —and it was. For speed sake, I used it as a start, made some necessary tweaks for it to become an oxygen tank backpack.

You know the woman who leaves her house at 7am and doesn't get back until 10pm. She's motivated. You've seen her. She carries a computer bag and a gym bag. She has her cell phone in one hand and a coffee in the other. That's a sore shoulder, a dropped phone and a spilt coffee.

Can a single bag house all of her needs?

I worked on this mini collection with two tiers, the deluxe version with three-compartments and an entry version, both designed to hold just about everything.

Can a bag's construction give the user a sense of security?

The Commuter Tote's pockets are ambiguous. At first glance, one may not realize this bag has specific spots for a cell phone, computer, and wallet. That's the point.

Can a tote bag be unisex?

The cam buckle allows the user to adjust the strap's length. A shorter length for those who grip the handles in their fist or a longer length for those who prefer it worn over the shoulder. People's desire for durability inspired the haul style bottom. The bag's floating liner allows for one large compartment or two separate compartments.

How will Gemline differentiate from the standard boat tote?

These are a few of the cotton bags I’ve designed and developed to keep Gemline On Trend and On Time.
